WOW-Za! A Week That Welcomed With a Bang! As the school gates reopened to the cheerful buzz of students, laughter, and the rustle of new books, we set the stage for an unforgettable start to the academic year with our Week of Welcome (WOW) 2025–26. Designed to infuse energy, ease new students into the school environment, and strengthen connections among peers and teachers, WOW Week was a brilliant blend of creativity, camaraderie, and cheer. Decorated entrances with balloon arches, colorful photo booths, a welcoming mascot, and bright placards greeted every student like a star. But the magic didn’t stop there—it only just began! Monday – Meet & Greet Mania Our week began on a high note with self-introductions and ice-breaking activities. Classrooms transformed into fun zones as teachers dressed up as characters related to their subjects, adding a playful and personal twist to learning. Each class engaged in activities that fostered friendship and harmony—a key theme for April. From “Helping Hand” murals in Grades 1–2, to Friendship Collages in Grades 3–5 and Graffiti Walls in the senior grades, the walls of our school soon echoed the warmth of budding bonds. Tuesday – Talent Fiesta Tuesday brought the spotlight onto our students! During the Show & Tell sessions, students confidently showcased their talents—from magic tricks and musical skills to storytelling and artwork. Every classroom became a stage, and every child, a star. Students also created a Classroom Graffiti Wall, where they wrote their goals and dreams for the new academic year. It was heartwarming to see aspirations ranging from “becoming a scientist” to “making new friends”—each dream as unique as the child who penned it. Wednesday – Game On!! Midweek energy surged during House-based challenges and the much-anticipated Escape Room Challenge. Teachers led energetic team-building games tailored by grade, while subject-based puzzles tested wit and teamwork in a fun, pressure-free environment. Students worked together, solved clues, and celebrated small wins—building a sense of unity that will carry forward into their classrooms. Thursday – Mindful Me Thursday was all about mindfulness, wellness, and sustainability. Younger students created a Kindness Tree, writing thoughtful messages for their peers, while Grades 3–10 took part in Yoga, storytelling, and gratitude journaling—beautiful reminders to care for the mind as much as the body. The Upcycle Challenge was another highlight. Students used waste materials to create practical or decorative items, turning trash into treasure and promoting eco-awareness in a fun, hands-on way. Friday – Fun-tastic Friday We closed WOW Week with a joyful celebration. Dress-Up Day brought a burst of color and character to the school with themes like superheroes, retro icons, and favorite book characters. From little Spidermen to mini-Miss Marples, the creativity was off the charts! Flashback Friday gave senior students the mic, as they shared memories, tips, and encouragement with their juniors—building bridges across grades and making the new students feel part of a bigger family. Class teachers clicked away throughout the week, capturing candid moments, heartfelt smiles, and priceless memories. These snapshots were compiled into daily collages— each one contributing to the spirit of WOW Week. The WOW Week didn’t just welcome students back—it made them feel seen, safe, and special. It created an inclusive environment where laughter and learning walked hand-inhand. As we dive into the new academic year, the energy from this incredible week continues to echo in our classrooms, hearts, and hallways. Here’s to a year filled with Wonder, Opportunity, and Wisdom!
